Stainless Steel Nameplates are widely used in Commercial and Industrial labeling across Australia. 316 or 304 Stainless Steel can be Direct Laser Etched or Chemically Etched with a marker paste, Stainless Steel Nameplates are very durable and will last forever where labeling is required to be UV, Chemical and abrasive resistant.
We can also provide Chemically engraved and enamel paint filled nameplates on request as well as coloured UV printed Stainless Steel Nameplates and signs.

By using our stocked items

Engraveco maintains a stock level of 1.2mm thick 316 Stainless Steel with a N4 brushed finish. We maintain stock of our standard sizes as per the below Standard Size Nameplates Drawing. Stock levels are adequate to fulfill most orders of 200 - 300 nameplates. Laser Cut by an external source our plates have a perfect edge that is not sharp or burred. Nameplates can be made with 0.5mm, 0.9mm, 1.2mm, 2mm or 3mm thick 316 or 304 and any size up to a maximum of 725mm wide and 430mm high. We provide this product with or without mounting holes and rounded corners as required.
We also stock 1.2mm multi stranded 316 Stainless Steel wire and matching 316 Stainless Steel Crimps for installation of hanging tags such as valve tags or instrument ID tags.

Direct Laser Etched

Direct Laser Etched Nameplates are engraved with our Direct Fiber Laser with no need to utilise a marker paste. The engraved mark is very permanent and resistant to harsh environments such as exposure to chemicals, UV and abrasive particals. This is our standard option for engraving Stainless Steel an is widely excepted in the Industrial Oil and Gas industry as well as the Coal and Iron Ore industry. The engraved mark is dark but completely black.

Marker Paste Engraved

Marker paste engraving nameplates are engraved with our Co2 Laser and utilises a mineral marker paste that is permanently fused to the surface of the Stainless Steel. This option of engraving is also resistant to harsh environments such as exposure to chemicals, UV and abrasive particals. It is also widely excepted in the industrial Oil and Gas industry and Coal and Iron Ore industries. The engraved mark is darker than the Direct Laser Etched mark and is black.

Deep Engraved and Enamel Paint Filled

Deep Engraved and Enamel Paint Filled Nameplates are engraved to a depth of around 0.25mm and then filled with Enamel Paint. This option mostly used where coloured text is required on Stainless Steel. The durability of this engraving is very permanent.

Printed Vinyl on Stainless Steel

Full Colour Nameplates or Signs can be printed and sealed with a UV protective laminate vinyl. With this process any graphical design in any colours or variation of can be directly printed to the vinyl and permanently adhered to the Stainless Steel. These label are UV stable for up to 5-10 years but have less durability to chemicals and Abrasive particals.
